The Scoresby
Striders are a Little
Athletics Club based at Knox Park in Melbourne, Victoria. We are one of
eleven clubs and roughly 35 schools which comprise the Knox Little Athletics Club (KLAC23).
Knox
Park Sporting Complex : Knox Park Road, Knoxfield - Entrance is via the intersection of Ferntree Gully
& Scoresby Roads (See Melways ref 73, D6)
Knox Park
offers all track and field events and we compete throughout the year. Age
groups range from Under 7 to Under 16. Under the Knox Little Athletics banner
we also compete at region and state level.
During the
summer competition season we can be found basking
in the fresh air and sunshine just outside the north end of the grandstand
under our portable shelters. On wet days we shelter in slightly more
civilized conditions in the centre of the grandstand. Look for our
distinctive purple shirts with the gold stars!

Summer season: Track and Field (T&F) events are held at Knox
Athlethics Centre once a week - roughly every third Friday evening from 6-9pm
and otherwise on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to midday.
Winter
Season:
Cross Country. Starting from April and going through to Aug. Winter season
events are cross country runs held at local parks and venues on Saturday
mornings.

Our
source schools are: Scoresby
PS, St. Judes PS
& Waverley Christian College.
But athletes from other schools are free to join our club if they wish. Club
allocation is geographically based but not mandatory.
